About Kevin

This has always been the hardest thing for me to do.  Trying to describe myself to others, I always do a terrible job of it. 

First my name is Kevin L. Collins.  I’ve been married for close to 20 years to my wonderful wife.  We have two girls, excuse me…daughters.  Once they reach 16, they’re no longer “girls” these days.

I’m the Systems Manager at Nesbitt Engineering, Inc.  That title basically means that I’m head geek.

I’ve been a computer enthusiast for more 25 years, ever since I put my hand on a Commodore 16 when I was like 13.  I knew that I wanted to do something with computers.  At first I thought I would be a developer, and I  still have a “hacking” nature, but I’m more of a hardware and network oriented person.

I currently have experience with Windows and Linux.  I hold an MCSE for Windows 2000 and I’m debating whether or not update that for 2003/2008.

I’m currently nursing a growing passion for photography.  I know I’ll never be a professional, but I’m really enjoying myself while experimenting and learning.  The gallery here will hold some of my attempts at greatness.

I’ve always liked computer games.  My current passion is first-person shooters like Halo and Call of Duty.  I’m a member of Team XRAY, a few of friends and I that play almost every night.  We’re not in it for glory, just fun.  I’ve been able to record a few games here and there and posted them to my YouTube channel.

I’m a Christian, but currently am looking for a Church family.
