About Kevin

This has always been the hardest thing for me to do.  Trying to describe myself to others, I always do a terrible job of it.  I’ll try to do better this time around.

First my name is Kevin L. Collins.  I’ve been married for close to 20 years to my wonderful wife.  We have two girls, excuse me…daughters.  Once they reach 16, they’re no longer “girls” these days.

I’m the Systems Manager at Nesbitt Engineering, Inc.  That title basically means that I’m head geek.

I’ve been a computer enthusist for more 25 years, ever since I put my hand on a Commedore 16 when I was like 13.  I knew that I wanted to do something with computers.  At first I thought I would be a developer, and I  still have a “hacking” nature, but I’m more of a hardware and network oriented person.

I currently have expeirience with Windows and Linux.  I hold an MCSE for Windows 2000 and I’m debating whether or not update that for 2003/2008.

I’m a Christian and regulary attend Athens Christian Church – where I’m a deacon.
