Changes are in place
0Well, I’ve finally had a few minutes to sit down and actually do something with this blog. As you can see I’ve changed the look with a new theme. Beyond that I’ve not really done much, but I’m still thinking.
What I think I want in the end is a landing page that presents a more professional look to the public. This landing page would give my viewers a place to choose how to continue. Either to my professional, IT side or the more relaxed hobbist side with this blog and my upcoming photography pages. I’d also like to continue adding video somewhere in the overall site. With the addition of an iPhone 4, I’m thinking I can start recording HD video for my webcasts – eliminating the webcam. But that’s all for another day.
Right now, I’m really just happy to be getting something a bit fresher online.

So I’ve updated this blog to WordPress 3.0. I’ve even installed the default theme because it seems to work well. I’ll be tweaking for the next several days, so forgive any mess you may see around here.
I like the new abilities of this theme (maybe WordPress 3.0 period). Being able to create Menus, set custom backgrounds and header images – without touching a line of code – very nice.
Oh, and I’ve started to use Flickr again – since I’ve been taking a lot of pictures lately. I’ll be tweaking that functionality as well in the coming days.
